Last year, Klay Thompson averaged 24.4 points in the playoffs while shooting 44 percent from the field, and 42 percent from 3-point range. So far this postseason, he has struggled as a shooter, averaging 14.4 points while shooting 38 percent from the field and just 36 percent from 3-point range.
Obviously adding in Durant will make an impact on Thompson, but a drop of 10 points per game is pretty significant. And the fact he’s not making shots at the pace he used to should be very concerning. But Thompson isn’t worried about his shooting woes, at least not until the Warriors start losing games.
